Kabab Haleem

Ingredients for Kabab:
Chicken mince 500 g
Onion (chopped) 1 cup
Green coriander (chopped) 1/2 cup
Green chilies (chopped) 1 ½ tbsp.
ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Coriander powder 1 tbsp.
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Oil (for frying) as required

Ingredients for Haleem:
Oil 1/2 cup
Boneless chicken 250 g
Chicken with bones 250 g
Water 15 cups / 3 ½ litres
Shan Special Haleem Masala 1 packet
Shan Grains and Pulses Mix Powder 1 packet
Water 1-2 cups

Ingredients for Tarka:
Oil 1/2 cup
Onion (finely sliced) 1/2 cup
Red chili powder 1 tsp

Directions for Chicken Kabab preparation:
In a bowl add chicken mince, onion, coriander, green chilies, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, red chili flakes, salt, coriander powder, cumin powder and mix well. refrigerate the mixture for 15-20 mins.
Now take the mixture in the palm of your hands. Make small kabab shapes and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan and add kabab, shallow fry until fully cooked and golden brown. Your chicken kabab are ready.
Directions for Haleem Preparation:
In a pot heat oil and add chicken. Cook until chicken changes color.
Now add Shan Special Haleem Masala and stir-fry for few minutes.
Now add water and cover and cook until chicken gets tender.
Remove from heat, separate the chicken. Discard the bones and shred the chicken.
Now add the shredded chicken into stock and add Shan Grains and Pulses Mix Powder. Mix it well.
Add water and cook on medium heat for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally. Your Haleem is ready.
Directions for Tarka Preparation:
In a pan heat oil and add onion, fry until onion turns brown. Turn the flame to low and add red chili powder. Cook for few seconds.
Now pour the prepared tarka over cooked Haleem and cover and cook Haleem over low heat for 10-15 minutes.
Serve with naan, kabab and enjoy.

Cooking time: 30 mins
