This chili is super easy to make – it uses canned beans so a great way to use up your food storage and spices everyone has at home. Served with warm cornbread this is the ultimate comfort food!

CORNBREAD
1 C corn meal
1 C all-purpose flour
1/2 C granulated sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 C whole milk
1 egg
1/4 C olive oil
preheat oven to 425
Combine corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl
Add milk, egg and oil, whisk until smooth.
Prepare your pans (8×8 or 12 muffins – or double the recipe for a 9×13 pan or 24 muffins)
Bake in the pan for 20-23 min, or in the muffin tins for 15-18 mins
Serve your cornbread with honey butter while it’s warm with your favorite chili or chowder.
EASY BEEF CHILI
SEASONING (equal to 2 packets)
2 Tbsp chili powder
2 tsp cumin
1/2 tysp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
mix together
CHILI
1 lbs Ground Beef
1 Chopped onion
1 Chopped green pepper
46 oz Tomato Juice
56 oz crushed tomatoes (Two 28 oz cans)
15 oz can tomato sauce
30 oz canned kidney beans
30 oz canned chili pinto beans
15 oz can white beans
15 oz can black beans
In a large soup pan brown the hamburger with the onion and green pepper
The last min add the spices and stir
Add the tomato juice, sauce and crushed tomatoes
While that’s heating up drain and rinse all the beans
add the beans to the pot and simmer for 1 hour for the flavor
