Aji Cachucha. 150 Days Since Seeds. Productive, Small Indoor Plant. Sweet, fruity. Allegedly mild heat, but I find the heat to be more in the neighborhood of a hot jalapeno. I will plant again.

Great photos! Really makes the plant look attractive. What a brilliant beautiful shade of red.

Nice camera work! Any seed source for this pepper?

I use Aji Cachucha and Aji Dulce in cooking all the time, my favorite seasoning peppers. Most of the Caribbean countries have a variety of them, some are stronger than others, some sweeter, etc. Venezuela and Colombian varieties are tasty raw, Cuban and Puerto Rican varieties are much better cooked in sofrito.

The yellow/orange varieties seem to be a bit more stable as a sweet pepper. Every once in a while you’ll see a red one that goes back to its habanero roots and packs some heat.

I haven’t seen that variety with the really dark green pod before.
