Aj Husband kuch udaas se thay – bachoun ko bhot yad kiya – Cheesy Meat Pie – Chili ketchup Sauce

Cheesy Meat Pie
Ingredients
Pie Crust
• Chicken mince 500 grams
• Onion 1 small, chopped
• Garlic 3 cloves, chopped
• Worcestershire sauce 3 tbsp (or 3 tbsp soy sauce+1 tsp ketchup+1 tsp vinegar)
• Paprika powder 2 tsp
• Coriander powder 1 tsp
• Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Egg 1
• Breadcrumbs 1/2 cup (or more if the mixture is very soft)
• Some extra breadcrumbs for the pie dish
Mash Filling
• Potatoes 4-6, medium sized, boiled and peeled
• Butter 1/4 cup
• Milk 1/4 cup
• Mustard paste 1 tbsp
• Salt to taste
• Black pepper powder to taste
Topping
• Cheddar cheese 1/2 cup
• Mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup
• Bell pepper 1, chopped (any color)
• Fresh coriander leaves 5-6
Serving suggestion
• Boiled rice
• Green veggies/salad
• Chili ketchup sauce
Preparation
1. Pie Crust: In a bowl, mix chicken mince, onion, garlic, worcestershire sauce, paprika, coriander powder and cumin powder, salt, egg and breadcrumbs. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
2. While the mince is resting, preheat the oven at 180°C.
3. Sprinkle some breadcrumbs in a 9- inch pie dish.
4. Press the mince firmly into the pie dish.
5. Place in the preheated oven and bake at 180°C, using upper and lower rod for 30 minutes or until the meat is fully cooked.
6. Mash Filling: Mash the boiled potatoes with butter, milk, mustard paste, salt and pepper in a bowl. Make sure the mixture is smooth and creamy.
7. Pour the mixture in the pie crust and smooth out the top.
8. Mix together cheddar and mozzarella cheese and top the pie with it.
9. Lastly add chopped bell pepper on top and bake at 180°C using upper rod only until the cheese has melted.
10. Take out and garnish with Fresh coriander leaves.
11. Serve with rice and ketchup sauce.

Ketchup Chili Sauce for any kind of Rice
Ingredients
• Ketchup 1/2 cup
• Chili sauce 1/2 cup or more to taste
• Water 3/4 cup to 1 cup (as per the preference)
• Salt 1/2 tsp
• Sugar 1 tbsp
Preparation
1. Mix everything and bring to a boil.
2. Boil for 2-3 minutes.
3. Allow to cool to room temperature and serve with any dish that needs some liquid with it. I used it for cheesy meat pie and plain rice dinner.
