Chinese Chili Paste Sri Lankan Version | Spicy Chili Paste Recipe

Assalamu alaikum (Peace be upon you)

Ingredients:

80g chili flakes
1tsp soy sauce
5g dried krills
1 clove finely chopped garlic
5-6tbsp oil
Salt to taste

Heat oil in a pan on medium heat and put in the chopped garlic. Once it’s partially golden brown add in the krills and stir. Lower the heat and add the chili flakes, stirring quickly (make sure the heat is very low or you will burn the chili flakes). Now add the soy sauce and mix it vigorously and turn off the heat. Add the salt accordingly (My soy sauce is already salted). Mix it and transfer to an airtight container once it’s cooled down. Store in the fridge.
