First time grower here. Planted from seeds back in March. [https://www.reddit.com/r/spicy/comments/fg3lkt/growing_scorpion_peppers_from_seeds/](https://www.reddit.com/r/spicy/comments/fg3lkt/growing_scorpion_peppers_from_seeds/)

Some lessons learned. I would definitely start from seed earlier. They did not do much for a very long time and really didn’t take off until I put them under a UV light in maybe May. By not do much, I mean didn’t get more than 2-4 leaves, no bigger than 1″.

Of 6 plants that survived from sprouting I had them in a mix of planters. No lessons learned here, couldn’t figure out which did better or worse or why.

I moved one plant to the ground late season and it did very well.

The chocolate color was a surprise. The pepper I harvested the seeds from was a bright red.

Also had a few plants cross breed, which ended up looking pretty cool and were a little less flavorful but way more intense. Next steps, not sure what to do with them. They have a very hard outer skin, probably good for flakes, but could make a nice dark sauce with them.
