Taco Bell introduced the Double Decker Taco in 1995 as a limited-time promotional item. In 2006 it became a permanent menu item and had a glorious 13 year run as the greatest fast food item ever invented, until it was unjustly given a life time sentence to Taco Hell in 2019.
The DDT is currently on work release for one month only. And while DDT fans are thrilled to re-acquaint our taste buds with this angelic explosion of flavor and texture, we want to see this legend set free, and once again be a permanent staple in the Taco Bell arsenal. I mean…they have all of the ingredients…why not use them the way the fast food gods intended.
