This one has it the most, but the majority of my (what I believe are) Carolina Reapers have a thin ring around where the stem attaches. The rings are new, appearing within the past week, but this one has had the black spot for about a month.
The black area doesn’t feel softer than the rest of it. So I’m not sure if it’s rot. The one in the picture was in a pot inside my garden area, where it gets a lot of direct sunlight. Burned from the sun?
