Peppers

Health questions

Noticed that my seedlings are starting to droop while I was hardening them today. Soil is still damp. Am I doing something wrong?

Whats your hardening process been? Looks to me like they could be a bit shocked from the change in environment

The drooping leaves show that they are stressed. Direct sun light, wind and temperature fluctuations can be the cause if it.

You really need to ease the pepper plants into the outside environment. First 3 to 4 days put them in the shade for an 2 hours. The 5th day you can start with giving them 10 mins of direct sunlight, every subsequent day you can increase it with 10 mins. You can increase to 15, or even 20, if you thin they are handling it plenty. After 2 weeks they should be hardy enough to handle staying outside.

It’s best to harden them of in the morning when the temperatures aren’t at their max yet. Although they are tropical plants, you should avoid hardening them off in anything above 35°C.

Look up FIMing it’s a method of topping that I picked up in the cannabis industry and it works great with peppers I’ve found.
Just thought I’d throw that out there as I see you did some topping
