Red is the dominant gene, yellow is a mutation from red. Got a little cross pollination in a previous generation.

I got yellow ones too but they all turned out red, but hey they’re still amazing

Heh, I bought red and got yellow. You ended up with seeds from a fruit that was cross pollinated, or seeds that got swapped out. It seems kind of common, but frustrating none the less
