Taquitos Dorados Ahogados
Ingredients
Oil for frying (fill oil a little less than halfway)
1 pound shredded chicken
20-25 corn tortillas
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp black pepper

Red savory Salsa
Oil
3 tomatoes
3/4 cup chicken broth or water
1/2 chopped onion
1 jalapeño or serrano
1 Tsp guajillo chili powder or 1 chili pod (boil and blend with tomatoes)
1 Tsp oregano
1 Tsp chicken bouillon or salt
1/4 Tsp Salt to taste
Tip- if using water instead of broth adjust bouillon

Avocado Sauce
1 Avocado
1/4 Crema Fresca (half and half or heavy whipping cream)
1/4 cup queso fresco
Small bunch Cilantro
For spice add a Serrano pepper

Toppings
Finely chopped cabbage or lettuce
queso cotija
Choice of salsa or view chili oil

Egg glue
1 egg
2 Tbs Ap Flour

Chili powder recipe
